Where did Napoleon keep his armies?

Following a pub quiz question last night about the five countries in the world with over a million troops, I was perusing this list of active troops per country.

Antigua and Barbuda has an army consisting of 170 people. 170! That’s awesome. They must all know each other and everything.

My favourite fact (which might not be true at all) is that the Monaco State Orchestra (Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo) has more members than the Monaco Armed Forces (Compagnie des Carabiniers de Prince) :D

Oh, and Iceland doesn’t even have an army at all (or a navy or an air force for that matter – though it has a Coast Guard and an Air Defence System)! And yet it’s a member of NATO and an Icelandic Colonel runs Kabul airport! (I found all this out when I happened upon one of my favourite Wikipedia pages, List of countries without armed forces…)

Ermm… Anyway, as you were ;)
