I renewed my TV Licence today. It cost £126.50. I don’t really mind paying my TV licence, as I think the BBC is cool. Telly with no ads is much preferable to the commercial channels, the BBC radio stations are amongst the best in the world, and their website, especially the news section is unparalleled.
However.
On the licence renewal form they sent me, I saw this:

Francesca, she of 101 Things, recently made soup. Leek, celeriac and potato soup, to be precise. Apparently inspired by an ill-thought through text message from myself. So I thought I’d take this opportunity to post some pictures of some soup I made, cos I bet it was nicer than hers.


It was basically Leek, carrot and potato soup, which I am unreliably informed is also known as charentaise soup. It was bloody lovely. I am teh soup master. That is all.
